The position is primarily responsible for the safety and protection of people (residents, tenants, retailers, visitors and contractors), and property.
The role consists of security control room operations and providing a visible security presence (foot patrols) across the entire Site.The Security team works very closely with various specialist units at Victoria Police and assists in crime prevention and criminal investigations.The successful candidate must be well-presented and available as per the abovementioned roster hours.RESPONSIBILITIESConduct patrols of common areas at regular intervals to ensure security and have a visible presence around the site.Report / record all unusual occurrences.Investigate incidents reported to the security team.Respond to complaints and security breaches.Respond to emergencies.Liaise with emergency services.Complete Crime Stoppers Reports.Collect evidence and maintain evidence register.Provide security escorts.Make safe all hazards and notify supervisor.Participate in compulsory professional development and training.Invest in own professional development and upskilling.Complete detailed, accurate and clear incident reports, building reports and information reports.Interact with key stakeholders including management and emergency services.Conduct information sessions and contribute to the quarterly security newsletter.Contribute to the Monthly Security Report.Attend meetings and contribute to the overall growth of the business.Practice and implement health and safety processes including risk assessments.Foster a high standard of service delivery based upon a collaborative approach.KEY SELECTION CRITERIAPrivate Security Individual License: Activities: Crowd Control, Security GuardGeneral Category H (Handgun) Licence.Achieve competency in our "Fitness Test" which involves strength, stamina and suppleness.Achieve competency in our "Firearms Safety & Tactical Response – Practical Examination and Induction."Pass our independent "Medical Examination & Drug Testing."ESSENTIALExcellent communication skills.Ability to work as a team and autonomously.Time management and prioritisation skills.Show initiative in work practices.Ability to draft reports which are clear, complete, concise and correct.Knowledge in the use of computers and office software.DESIRABLECertificate III in Security Operations – Private Investigator.Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.Certificate IV in Security Management.Certificate IV in Risk Management.DESIRED CHARACTERISTICSIntegrity, teamwork (comradery), respect, accountability, and reliability are just some of the characteristics we are looking for in the security professionals applying for this full-time position with Crownland Security.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERCROWNLAND SECURITY is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing its employees a work environment which is free of harassment or discrimination.
