Who You'll Work With The Arista Industry Readiness Programme is an industry-first programme that gives you the unique opportunity to intern in a hands-on learning based programme that lasts 5-6 months and is run annually out of our Sydney office.
Over the course of these months, you will learn, practice, test and be tested on various networking technologies starting from the absolute basics to complex networking technologies.
What You'll Do Program Summary: Objective: To prepare early career network engineers for the Cloud Networking Industry.
Approach: Base program is tried and tested with over 10 iterations run by Arista globally.We enhance the impact by customizing it each year for the specific target group.Program Outline Phase 1: Strong foundation in networking protocols and technologies. Exposure to the basics of networking from scratch, involving refresh, unlearning if required, and re-learning.
In-depth understanding of the basic and foundational technologies including:
Layers of Networking, Transceivers & Cables, ARP, MAC, IP addressingL2 Technologies: Switching Fundamentals, STP, LACP, LLDPL3 Technologies: Routing Fundamentals, RIP, OSPFPractical approach and hands-on lab with a dedicated static lab topology.
Develop in-depth understanding by taking packet captures and Wireshark analysis.
Phase 2: Introduction to Arista platforms.
Deeper dive into industry trends and technological advancements. Application of knowledge gathered through projects, solving real-world problems meeting industry requirements, and enhancing programming and scripting skills.
Understand the evolution of Arista products per requirements including:
Products encompass deep buffers, low latencies, growing speeds to cater to varying industrial demands.EOS Architecture and integration to support next generation cloud and enterprise DCs.Phase 3: Advanced technologies/protocols.
Shadowing. Leverage basic knowledge to learn advanced technologies and protocols (VxLAN, BGP, xSTP, multicast routing).
Shadow Technical Solutions Engineers and partner with TSEs to solve live issues, investigating and analyzing data for given problems, and contributing by replicating problems and validating fixes.
