Position DetailsFixed term |Full-Time until June 2025Academic Level B | $106,403 - $125,917Location: Campus Location / TonsleyView Position DescriptionAbout the RoleWorking under the supervision of the Workforce Capability and Capacity (WCC) Workstream Director and other senior ARIIA academics, the Postdoctoral Research Fellow will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of adult learning programs. This will be informed by approaches, innovations and technologies in learning and teaching practice that enhance the adult learner experience, with a focus on Aged Care topics that reflect the workforce capability building priorities of ARIIA. Creating, reviewing and coordinating engaging online learning Content. Successfully facilitating online and in-person codesign and capability building workshops is an essential role requirement. Another key component of this role is the managing the transition of this online content from a freely accessible course into an accredited, commercial offering with the requisite preparation of assessment, compliance and supporting material for the course.This role also requires demonstration of high-level research capability:.Contributing to ethical, high quality, and innovative research through activities such as contribution to sustained high-quality publication, external grant acquisition, as well as presenting on a national and international level;Delivery of research projects that ARIIA partners within the aged care sector deliver, collecting and analysing data, as well as creating and maintaining collaborations and research partnerships as well as a contribution to high quality reports and or publications; andSupervision of honours and postgraduate students, as appropriate.Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA)Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA) will transform the way we care for Older Australians. Funded by the Australian Government and the Department of Health, the Organisation will deliver activities across three workstreams to improve aged care for all Australians. Bringing together consumers, industry and researchers, ARIIA supports the translation of research into practice to modernise and pave the way for sector wide improvements, making a real and meaningful change to the aged care sector.About YouYou will be able to demonstrate successful development and delivery of adult online course content incorporating approaches, innovations and technologies in learning and teaching practice that enhance the adult learner experience,You have a high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and engage; and facilitate co-design workshops with diverse stakeholders and industry partners. You will also have excellent oral and written communication skills in an academic environment. Your critical thinking and analytical and evaluation skills, enable you to adapt to new concepts and information, with the capability of delivering positive and innovative solutions. Your ability to work under minimal supervision, allows you to successfully manage, organise and coordinate activities.To be successful in this role you will demonstrate experience in:Research, including publications and presentations at a national and/or international level in a relevant field.Conducting high-quality research or quality improvement and an understanding of research or evaluation methods.Online and/or in-person codesign workshops that support experiential learning and promote innovative thinking.Experience in continuous quality improvement.Engaging with and educating people with English as a second language, or from a wide range of educational backgrounds.You will also have completed a PhD and work experience in a discipline and context relevant to education or training in aged, health or social care.
