Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) is seeking an emergency and critical care specialist to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary specialist practice in Brisbane, Australia.
Our Team At ARH our mission is to provide pets with the most comprehensive treatment available in a caring and professional environment.
You will be working alongside specialists in surgery, internal medicine, critical care, oncology, neurology, dermatology, and diagnostic imaging who work collaboratively and closely with referring veterinarians and clients to provide the highest level of patient care.
Our experienced ECC veterinarians support the specialty services after hours and on weekends. The ECC service is integrated with our referral services, offering exceptional case continuity and support.
Our Hospital
The hospital is equipped with a brand new dedicated critical care unit, two GE Carescape R860 ICU ventilators, high flow oxygen therapy, ABL 90 Flex PLUS Blood gas Analyzer, point of care ultrasound, Fuji DR suite, Siemens SOMATOM Go.up 64 slice CT, and a Siemens 1.5T MRI. A fully equipped on-site lab offers haematology, chemistry, and coagulation capabilities allowing you all the tools to provide the best standard of care to your patients.
Job DescriptionThe Position This is a full-time (4 day/week) position. Working hours are flexible with the current shifts being 8am – 6pm and shared weekends. The position currently involves equal amounts of referral emergency (primary accession) and in-hospital critical care cases. There is an intention to transition to a primary critical care focus.
ARH provides a generous compensation and benefits package including superannuation (401K) and paid parental leave. Leave includes 4 weeks annual leave and 1 week conference leave. A veterinary degree registerable in Australia with board certification (FANZCVS, DACVECC, or DECVECC) eligible for specialist registration in QLD is required, although candidates who have completed residency training and are intending to sit specialist exams soon are invited to apply.
