About the business
Arethusa College is an independent Special Assistance School catering to students in Year 7 to 12.
The College has seven Campuses across SE Queensland.
Arethusa College operates as 'One College - many campuses' and our aim is to provide an alternate education for disengaged students and works hard to facilitate Real Learning, Real Connections and Real Futures.

The Role
Arethusa College is seeking a Deputy Principal at our Forest Lake Campus.
The College seeks a person with exemplary leadership and teaching skills, sound curriculum knowledge, appropriate tertiary qualifications, excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to the College's Christian ethos and values.

The Deputy Principal is a senior leadership role within the College community.
The role includes leading educational professionals in the College by setting standards and inspiring the wider college community toward lifelong learning and includes assisting with spiritual leadership and direction.
The Deputy Principal supports the staff and Principal in their roles and requires the Deputy Principal to deputise in the event of the Principal's absence.
This role includes a teacher load and reports directly to the Principal, being responsible for ensuring that the Board's strategic vision is represented consistently at a campus level.

Able to think clearly and quickly when problem-solving, being both analytical and creative in offering solutions.
An advocate for the needs of students, families and staff, ensuring that the best possible outcomes are sought for all members of the College community.
A team player who can bring together collaborative campus-based teams.
Have an active Christian faith.
Able to earn the trust of staff and peers through honesty, open communication, fairness, predictability and the ability to admit mistakes and take responsibility for them.
Set strategies and drive towards achieving desired outcomes through careful management of campus resources.
