Role Splunk is experiencing sustained growth and is embarking on our next stage of scaling out the business. To draw on this success and market opportunity, we are hiring an Area Vice President, Northern Region Sales to inspire, build and lead our high performing northern region sales function through change. You will play a key role in driving a significant share of revenue for Splunk and take responsibility for business strategy, territory planning, team & thought leadership and building executive relationships within our key strategic/enterprise customer base. Splunk is going through an incredibly exciting time in moving to become a true cloud organization and continues to dominate the Leader category within the Gartner Magic Quadrant (SIEM & APM). Thrives in a fast-growth and entrepreneurial environment. Responsibilities Ultimate accountability for the Northern Region Sales Team (2nd-Line Management). Collaborate and Innovate with Business Partners and functional supporting teams. Hiring, coaching and development of the Regional Sales Directors and Regional Sales Managers in alignment with an Excellence Profile. Drive demand Generation Culture and strong operating rhythm across all teams. Consistently deliver monthly, quarterly and annual goals – ensuring company revenue goals, and objectives are achieved. Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue numbers for North sub-theatre. Spearhead effective executable omnichannel Territory planning, establishing accurate plans and forecasts; prioritize efforts; generate short-term results while holding a long-term perspective to achieve overall results. Collaborate as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources; collaborate with sales engineering, channels/alliances, professional services, product, legal, marketing, and engineering teams to create a seamless customer experience. Use data to make meaningful decisions and form opinions regarding the business. Requirements 10 years People Leadership experience; 5 years' 2nd line management experience including both direct and indirect experience across the Australia/New Zealand region. Relevant software industry experience; Cloud First, SaaS, Transforming environment. Proven consistent track record in quota attainment. Executive presence; Strong communication skills. Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus. We value diversity at our company.
