The Area Sales Manager role is a key customer-focused position within the business, working closely with our customers to understand their needs, create solutions, and ensure a smooth sales process to achieve customer requirements.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will primarily work with an established call cycle with the objectives of providing outstanding service, exceeding sales and profit targets, and meeting KPIs in line with the company's balanced scorecard.

Responsibilities: Build new and maintain strong relationships with key customers within your territory. Meet weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets. Work to a budget to achieve individual KPIs and the company's sales margin. Discuss product features and benefits of the NORMA product range with customers. Provide technical training or information to customer sales teams. Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly & annual territory analysis. Monitor competitors' activities by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, product ranges, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising. Recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating competitors' developments. Maintain historical information on territory and customer sales. Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 customer engagement as part of your daily function. Represent the company at trade shows and industry group activities. Assist the Head of Sales in the planning and forecasting of sales within your territory. Work closely with customers to increase shelf space for NORMA products by performing merchandising functions, including building displays. Assist the marketing department when required to collect customer feedback. Profile: Strong organizational skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels, both within the organization and externally. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A desire to advance and challenge existing processes and procedures, thinking laterally. Strong PC skills and general computer literacy. Ability to implement policies and procedures. Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders. Ability to manage a challenging workload and meet deadlines. Strong prioritization and organizational skills. Excellent time management skills and ability to use initiative. Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders. Preferably located in the Greater Bendigo area.
