We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres, which stretches from Halifax in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East.
About the positionOur team is growing! We are seeking to appoint an additional Area Manager to our team to commence in January/February 2025. This position is full-time permanent, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with travel required across our services in Townsville and Charters Towers. One day a week you will work from our office located in Townsville City.
Working closely with the Operations Manager and other specialist teams, the role of the Area Manager is to provide leadership and direction to their service cluster; in the operational implementation and embedding of our vision and values as well as the strategic plan of MMCNQ. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead service performance and improvement, against budget, administration, legislation, human, regulation and compliance, education and inclusion, WHS, property and any other key business performance drivers; by working with the Operations Manager and specialist teams.Lead, motivate and empower Service Leaders to meet quality early learning standards and outcomes through documented service visits and evidenced outcomes.Monitor and document the delivery of early learning programs and practice against the NQF to create spaces where children can connect, grow and discover.Working in partnership with families and specialist teams, to support behavioural, developmental and educational needs of children in a way that reflects Gospel values and Church teachings in our practices to ensure positive relationships within the community we serve.Lead the development and implementation of annual planning processes and quality improvement plans, in partnership with Service Leaders to ensure that priorities are realised and achieved.Ensure that administrative, compliance, WHS, enrolment and any other practices at Service level align to policies, procedures and applicable legislation.Lead and support operational workforce planning and rostering effectiveness, performance and conduct, and performance development planning processes across the service cluster, to drive workforce capability.Collect, analyse and report information, incidents and or matters that may pose a risk.Support the implementation of marketing and communications across MMCNQ.Lead the continuous improvement processes and collaborate with service leaders on quality improvement in relation to administration, enrolments/induction, waitlists and fee payment/collection.What we offer:Competitive salary with motor vehicle allowanceEmployee referral programInsurance benefits with Queensland Country HealthBirthday leaveSalary Packaging options availableCorporate partnerships with Fitness providers (location specific)Opportunities for professional developmentWhat you'll need to succeed:Minimum Diploma of Early Childhood & Care or an equivalent ACECQA approved qualificationCurrent Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)5+ years experience in a management role within an education and care environmentUnderstanding of contemporary early learning related issues and challenges, with a demonstrated capacity to address such issues and challengesStrong time management and organisational skills with the capacity to work unsupervised, manage priorities and meet deadlines under pressureExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a broad range of stakeholders.This position is known internally as Business Operations Consultant and is listed as Area Manager for advertising purposes.
