About the role:Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, Youth and Community, this strategic leadership position is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiencies and augmenting organisational capacity to foster growth opportunities for Dynamic Community Care (DCC), its staff, and the young people we serve.
Due to the expansion of our services within the Central QLD region, we are in search of an accomplished leader to embrace the role of Area Manager in Central QLD. As a key player within DCC, you will collaborate closely with the executive, operational and senior management teams, orchestrating and guiding high-performing, innovative teams dedicated to delivering exceptional care and service to children and young people under the auspices of the Department of Child Safety. This encompasses both community-based support and round-the-clock accommodation care programs.
DCC is on the lookout for a leader who is not only effective and resolute but also imaginative, with a solid history of leadership within fast-paced, expanding organisations. Your role will involve developing and implementing services in demanding, complex care settings and communities while upholding an organisational ethos of respect, justice, humility, courage, and equality. About you: To be considered for the position, you must have the following requirements:
Comprehensive understanding of a client-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally appropriate frameworks with youth and community servicesHold a current, unendorsed Australian Driver's License.The ability to work Monday to Friday each week including holiday seasons, when required.Demonstrated skills and experience working in non-family-based programs and leading managers to achieve successful outcomes for their teams and young people.Have knowledge of trauma and how it affects the development and behaviours of young people.A positive, can-do attitude and a desire to wake up each day ready for a new challenge.A true passion for making a difference.Demonstrated ability to problem solve and provide creative solutions.What's on offer: 6 weeks annual leaveCompany Car, fleet card, laptop and mobile phoneAvailability to work across our Central QLD regionQualifications / Requirements: Minimum Bachelor in Human Services, Community Services, or relevant field.Proven experience in the management of residential care programs.Current Yellow and Blue Cards, or willingness to obtain these.Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain.Proven experience in leading and developing staff.Candidates with the following will be highly regarded: Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Trained.Youth Mental Health First Aid.Hope and Healing Certificate.If this sounds like an opportunity for you or should you have further questions or require more information, please contact .
