This shift in our approach to the strategic intent of our day-to-day activities has opened multiple new opportunities within the business, as we undertake this significant increase in our portfolio approach and fundamental change to our customer relationships. Therefore, we are looking for highly engaged business development professionals who can strategically align our customers' needs with the business deliverables to ultimately de-risk our customers' mining operations.How will you help us achieve this:An on-time, first-time, every-time approach to serving our customers' needs.Implementing a strategic approach through maintenance planning and forecasting to pre-empt the customers' needs.An understanding of strategic alignment of FLS inventories, services, and sales that are on-demand to suit our customers' both forecasted and emerging needs.A superior understanding of mining operations and the limitations presented by regional, geographical, supply chain, and market force impacts on day-to-day delivery.The ability to hold superior senior management level negotiations and discussions with key operators and executives, on how FLS is moving to be the trusted advisor and partner into the future.Seeking to identify gaps in the market and develop entry strategies and solutions for existing and new customer segments in the relevant regions.You will oversee a portfolio ranging from approx. $100-250M AUD in catchment by customer base and opportunity and have the chance to influence fundamental step change in our business.You will understand where FLS has a competitive advantage and consolidate our position, you will work to win back areas that have lost focus, and you will change out our competitors' solutions with FLS superior options that give total Lifecycle ROI for our customers.This is a demanding role; this is not a sales role nor a tick the box. This is a seize the moment and make a difference by becoming the trusted advisor to key customers within your region, the go-to person who can make things happen and won't let you down.What you bring:A commitment to Safety and fostering an inclusive work environment.Be a Mining professional with a strong background in either engineering, metallurgy, plant operations, or services to the mining industry in the fixed plant arena. Experience in sales managerial and project management roles.Solid sales/business development experience within the region.In-depth understanding of key competitors and their offerings, considering the potential impact upon sales strategy and providing market intelligence related to competitor and market activity with a focus on diversity and inclusion.A good understanding of mining operations and the criticality of plant availability and planned maintenance.Experience in working with customers to align the provision of FLS plant and equipment, through optimization and digitization, to give superior recoveries and outcomes.Exposure or knowledge of mining or mineral processing is desirable, emphasizing a commitment to diversity and inclusion.Financial acumen and cost consciousness with a demonstrated history of cost-effective practices.Excellent commercial knowledge, communication, and high-level negotiation and influencing skills (externally and internally) while maintaining an exceptional customer service attitude.The ability to analyze the regional mining footprint and understand geopolitical and market forces, coupled with superior business intellect to allow analysis of historic data, our customer operations, and demands, ensuring we are maximizing the FLS segment.Ability to deliver in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
