As an Area HR you are responsible for supporting Sales & Profit by setting and implementing a HR strategy to deliver a Great Customer Experience in line with your Area goals and Country HR focuses.You support the Area to have Great Teams by ensuring the Global Employee Strategy is in place.You make sure that your Area actively works with succession planning, talent and leadership development and structured performance management, based on results, values and leadership.You ensure we offer all employees fair and attractive working conditions and that all employee relation responsibilities, legal requirements and H&M policies are fulfilled to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.
This role is based in Melbourne. Together with the area team you support 14 stores across VIC, TAS, SA, WA, and ACT (Area 2). Key responsibilities: Monitor and analyse your area's future needs, including staff rotation and expansion for all Store positions. You act and follow up to ensure the Area's needs are consistently met.Implement, facilitate, and follow up to ensure quality recruitment processesacross all Stores in your area.Plan, organise and follow-up Introduction Training for all roles in store including both Leadership and Sales Advisors.Learn& Develop Together with the Area Manager you support and ensure Store Managers work with structured performance management for all employees, as well as delivering twice yearly Performance Development Reviews.Together with Store Managers and Area Team you follow up the development plans in your Area.You map succession planning for your Stores and actively support Store Managers in developing their teams, ensuring they are working with talent and leadership development. You oversee the Area's internal talent pipeline andsupport Country organisation talent needs.You monitor and analyse your area's training needs, and organise and facilitate training together with Support Office HR.Attractive work environment You ensure working conditions comply with local legislation and H&M standards.You implement and follow up Global H&M policies.You act as a neutral escalation point for employees and coach Store Management and Area Teams to prevent and resolve employee-related issue.QualificationsTo be successful in the role as an Area HR, we believe you are a strategic thinking business partner who is able to take a long-term view and align people first HR practices to organisation and area goals. Your inclusive and natural leadership style support you in be able to coach others to perform at their best. In addition, your agile mindset means you are flexible and able to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
What you need to succeed: Previous experience in a similar role e.g., HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.Natural leader with proven experience coaching others to perform at their very best.Experienced in setting strategy for the employee lifecycle – Recruitment, onboarding, induction, learning and development, talent mapping, employee relations and off boarding.Proven track record in driving HR KPI's.Agile mindset – open to change and able to problem solve and adapt when needed.An interest for working in a dynamic team and fast paced environment. Retail experience is preferred but not mandatory.Human Resources or Business qualification preferable.To be flexible to work and travel within your area (VIC, SA, WA, TAS, ACT) and occasionally to our Support Office in SydneyAdditional InformationThis is a full-time role, reporting to the Area Manager.
