Purpose Reporting to the Director of Conference & Events, the Area Conference & Events Manager is responsible for delivering a high performing Conference & Events Sales team across Gold Coast & New South Wales region. This role will focus on proactive lead generation, maximising commercial outcomes, and engaging the C&E Team to deliver outstanding guest experiences; establishing Accor as a preferred Conference & Event partner.
Primary Responsibilities Support the Conference & Events Director in meeting performance metrics, contributing to the success of C&E and MICE sectors.Drive Business Development through proactive account management and targeting new accounts in key market segments to grow revenue.Promote ALL Meeting Planner as a loyalty and conversion tool, conducting site inspections and presenting to potential clients.Collaborate with Regional Teams and property-based account managers to manage nationally and regionally overseen accounts, securing more business.Monitor Market Trends and competitor activity, leveraging insights to develop competitive strategies and negotiate favourable rates.Ensure Seamless Operations by working closely with operational teams, ensuring systems are in place for customer service excellence and repeat business. Skills and Experience Confidently communicate ideas, build strong client relationships, and negotiate favourable terms with various stakeholders.A strategic mindset with a solid grasp of business principles, making sound decisions that align with mid to long-term goals.Excel in relationship management, skilfully navigating complex stakeholder environments and leveraging networks for business development.Keep up with industry trends and market intelligence, using insights to maintain a competitive advantage.Demonstrate effective leadership by mentoring and inspiring teams while collaborating with regional and operational groups to drive success.Remain adaptable and embrace change, using problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial drive to seize new opportunities.
