Based out of Townsville, this role is perfect for someone who thrives on winning new business and exceeding targets. Whether you're a seasoned salesperson or a trade superstar ready to transition into sales, we'd love to hear from you.
This position requires travel across Townsville, Mackay, Airlie Beach and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities Deliver Results: Achieve annual net sales, legacy brand, and core brand targets, ensuring top performance across your territory.Financial Acumen: Stay on top of budgetary management, including expenses, stock on hand, and debtor days. Implement immediate actions to address sales deficits and drive cost-saving initiatives.Business Development: Hunt for new business opportunities while growing your active customer base. Implement your territory management strategy, with regular reviews and quarterly planning.Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts. Be responsive and proactive, ensuring customer satisfaction and clear communication on promotions, new products, and other updates.What You Bring A minimum of 12 months of experience in the wine industry or sales, demonstrating a strong ability to build customer connections.Proven success in driving positive sales outcomes while developing meaningful, long-lasting relationships with winery partners, suppliers, customers, and teammates.A genuine passion for wine, supported by at least WSET Level 2 or equivalent knowledge.A solid understanding of the hospitality industry, with the ability to establish and maintain strong connections with wine buyers and business owners.Excellent interpersonal skills, characterised by a personable and resilient nature, along with effective written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to work autonomously and take calculated risks.A valid driver's license and Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification.Relocation support may be considered for the right candidate.
