About the role: The growing Bunnings Trade business, who supports Australia's commercial sector are looking for an experienced Area Business Development Manager based in Sydney to join our Organisations team. Leading a team of sales professionals in New South Wales & the ACT you will drive and execute the sales strategy while representing the Bunnings Trade brand to a broad range of stakeholders. Reporting to the Head of Organisations, this exciting role will see you apply your knowledge and extensive sales experience to convert new business opportunities, grow existing relationships and continue the Commercial strategic growth agenda across multiple markets.To do this, you will be customer driven, passionate about leading a team and have strong internal and external stakeholder management skills. What's involved: Develop the team's capability to meet business needs and execute the State sales plans. Influence all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the sales goals are achieved. Develop sales strategies, manage budgets, forecasts, and Profit & Loss. Work across 18 Industry Segments with a view on how to grow sales and embed long lasting partnerships. Leverage existing national "Preferred Supplier" relationships and cultivate new opportunities. Identify growth opportunities with FM groups in collaboration with the Trade Specialist team. Work with Organisations Strategy & Projects team to provide all relevant customer insights and influence the overarching B&O strategic plan. Develop strategies for responding to RFIs and tendering for Government Projects. Provide coaching and mentoring to team members. Maintain and review sales team performance quarterly. Facilitate specific training for Account Managers & Business Development Manager's. Work collaboratively with our other members of the Bunnings team. Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety. What we are looking for:   In this exciting role you are a knowledgeable and experienced sales leader who can confidently engage in supporting and converting new business opportunitiesensuring that our Organisations customers receive the most appropriate, value-added solutions that suit their business needs whilst leading the team to success. You'll need: Strong knowledge of the building industry and related experience. Proven ability to leverage "Preferred Supplier" relationships and drive new opportunities. Experience in identifying growth opportunities within different organisational groups. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to influence effectively at all levels. Strong leadership, coaching, team management, and conflict resolution skills. Exceptional organisational, planning, and strategic thinking abilities. Familiarity with Profit & Loss management and strategic planning. Knowledge of relevant industry sectors.
