Job Title: Area Building Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Area Building Manager to oversee residential construction projects in the Hervey Bay region. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality homes on time and within budget while maintaining the company's standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will have a background in volume home building, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Compliance Oversee the construction of multiple residential projects, ensuring adherence to building programs and timelines. Ensure compliance with all legal obligations, safety regulations, and company procedures. Monitor project progress, quality outcomes, and address any issues promptly to keep builds on schedule. Review final plans for site starts, ensuring all amendments are completed accurately. Leadership & Team Management Lead and manage a team of Site Supervisors and Maintenance Officers, providing support and guidance. Allocate workloads effectively to optimize efficiency and maintain high-quality standards. Conduct regular team and subcontractor meetings to review progress and address any challenges. Implement training and development initiatives to enhance team performance. Customer Service & Communication Ensure proactive and positive communication with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders throughout the build process. Handle escalated customer concerns promptly and work to resolve them efficiently. Monitor customer satisfaction and implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience. Engage with clients during key stages of the construction process to provide updates and manage expectations. Construction Quality Assurance Ensure all homes are built to plan, adhering to high-quality standards and Queensland building regulations. Approve final plans and ensure that all necessary inspections and audits are completed within set timeframes. Monitor and improve the quality of work performed by trades, ensuring a high standard of workmanship. Implement strategies for continuous improvement in construction processes and quality outcomes. Financial & Operational Success Manage budgets effectively, ensuring costs and revenues meet targets. Monitor and control construction-related expenses, focusing on minimizing overruns and maximizing profitability. Ensure projects are delivered within budget and revenue targets are achieved consistently. Provide regular updates and reports to the State Building Manager on project performance. Health & Safety Compliance Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing compliance with WH&S regulations and company safety standards. Conduct regular site audits and inspections, addressing any safety issues promptly. Promote a culture of safety among team members and subcontractors. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the volume home building industry. Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction, or Project Management. Strong knowledge of building regulations, WH&S regulations, and quality assurance systems. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with clients and stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction-related software. Key Performance Measures:
Achieve a minimum of 95% of monthly revenue targets. Maintain high standards of construction quality, aiming for a New Home Quality score of 85% or higher. Ensure prompt handover of homes within the agreed timeframe. Minimize construction overruns, targeting less than 1% of revenue per job. Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction with a minimum NPS score of 4/5. What's on Offer:
