This Area Building Manager role will be responsible for areas across the Hervey Bay region. You will provide support and leadership to Supervisors and Maintenance teams in the construction of housing projects from inception through to successful completion, ensuring timeframes and costs are achieved in accordance with high-quality building and safety standards. To be successful in the role, you will be highly motivated and results-focused, a strong communicator, and an effective leader with a proven background in high volume building in a similar role. Duties & Responsibilities Legal compliance - ensuring the legal obligations of self and others are met. Procedural Diligence - compliance with company procedures in all matters. Customer Relationships - ensuring that our customers (buyers, sub-contractors, regulators, neighbours, suppliers, and colleagues) receive reliable, prompt, consistent, and courteous service. Construction quality - ensuring all houses are built to plan, on time, and to standards. Financial success - ensuring costs and revenues are budgeted and achieved. Managing a team of 3-4 Supervisors. Skills & Experience Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a construction management role (high volume residential building). Trade or tertiary qualification in a construction-related discipline. Must hold a QBCC Builder Licence & a White Card. Project management skills and knowledge of building regulations, WH&S regulations, and quality assurance systems. Ability to meet established quality standards, time schedules, and budget objectives. Strong leadership skills. Ability to always communicate effectively and professionally at all levels and with a variety of people. Ability to time manage workloads efficiently and cost-effectively. Ability to maintain a consistent and very high standard of work at all times. Demonstrated honesty and integrity – able to promote positive working relationships. Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and building-related software. Full unencumbered driver's licence.
