Propel Youth Arts WA is looking for a dynamic Communications Officer to join our team and help amplify the voices of young creatives across Western Australia. Position Overview Title: Communications Officer
Location: Northbridge, WA
Reports To: Executive Director
Hours: Part Time – 0.6 FTE (45 hours per fortnight)
Salary: $70,000 per year pro rata ($42,000 per year at 0.6 FTE)
Key Responsibilities Manage and produce engaging content across our platforms, including our e-news and socials.
Maintain and update the Propel website with fresh articles, blog posts, and materials.
Develop public marketing materials and manage our brand identity.
Engage with stakeholders and media to coordinate communication efforts.
Assist in the coordination and delivery of events and projects.
Who We Are Looking For A creative individual with ability to deliver impactful marketing and communications campaigns.
Proficiency in content management systems and graphic design.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Previous experience with youth (aged 12-26) is advantageous.
About Us Propel Youth Arts WA is a for-purpose organisation providing young Western Australians aged 12-26 with opportunities to engage with arts and culture on their terms. We advocate for young people's collective voice, resource their access to opportunities, and platform their creative contributions.
Through our creative programs, workshops, mentoring, and networking, Propel empowers young people to explore their creative pathways. Our events, festivals, performances, and exhibitions celebrate and showcase the diversity and talent of young people across WA.
