Details of the offer

Join our team as an ARDI Application Engineer.
Introduction Optrix, an innovative company in the industrial software market, seeks a motivated and experienced person to work in the role of Applications Engineer. The role includes responsibility for solutions delivery support, training, technical support, and technical marketing support for our suite of software that delivers operational insights to industrial customers. In this role, the successful applicant will be applying the latest technologies to industrial markets, in a rapidly expanding market. This is a creative role offering variety, flexibility, and independence, with an opportunity for rapid career advancement.
NOTE: To clarify, this role is focused on 'applications' in terms of applying software to industrial systems. This role has nothing to do with creating 'apps' on mobile devices.
Who Is Optrix Optrix is a highly innovative software company located in Shellharbour, NSW. We have developed a software suite called ARDI, which focuses on consolidating and visualising real-time process data. The suite utilises leading-edge technologies such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Artificial Intelligence to deliver a range of benefits associated with understanding and analysing data to improve customer outcomes.
ARDI is configurable and flexible, and can be applied to deliver customer-specific objectives. For more information relative to ARDI, please refer to

The person must be able to review customer objectives and understand what data is needed to deliver results. Familiarity with Python and reporting products will be needed, but training can be provided. Exposure to AI, modelling, and simulation tools are also advantageous for this role.
Work Summary Design general system architectures and deploy ARDI, including setting up connections to real-time data. Build demonstrations to support marketing needs. Remuneration consistent with the skills and experience of the applicant. We are seeking a full-time permanent engagement of 40 hours per week. We will consider reduced hours with flexibility matching company needs. Requirements Degree qualified in an engineering or computer science discipline, or extensive hands-on experience in an Operations Technology role. Minimum five years' experience working in industrial markets. Good written and verbal English communication skills. Able to work in Australia. Location The position offers flexibility in hours including WFH/remote where the person has demonstrated their solid application capability using ARDI.
