What's the gig?
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this role works across the People & Culture and Workforce Planning teams to support our team and leaders across the entire employee lifecycle. This role supports assurance and insights through a range of rostering and payroll activities and processes, helps drive recruitment & selection activities, supports execution of reward & recognition and employee activations, and works across policy & process initiatives. You will also have opportunity to collaborate on and drive a range of 'value add' initiatives, activities, and projects in the People & Culture space to ensure our team members have the best possible experience working with us.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Participate in recruitment and selection processes – Providing advice and support to leaders, generating contracts, coordinating onboarding, and processing employment changes across platforms. Support the review and monitoring of resourcing to ensure adequate operational coverage, and make recommendations to department managers in support of recruitment activities. Support and review rostering and timesheet processes to assist with maintaining strong compliance with agreement and industrial requirements, identifying areas for improvement and providing assurance activities over our transactional pay data. Generate reporting and analyse people data to support effective and efficient business decision making. Assist in maintaining accurate workforce records such as absence reviews, file notes, IFA's, and other documentation as relevant. Support the People and Culture team with HR policy and process interpretation and advice, providing first level operational support/guidance to managers and individual employees where appropriate. What we need from you:
You're a detail-oriented and solutions focused professional, looking to grow and develop your skills. Your working knowledge of Australian employment and HR best practice, data analysis skills and strong organisational skills, combined with the ability to communicate and build relationships with different stakeholders will see you succeed in this role. Your experience will contain a minimum of 1-2 years experience working in a similar role, with exposure to working with high volume rostering/payroll environment and supporting human resources activities. Tertiary qualifications in Business, Human Resources or a related discipline will be well regarded.
