The position is based in the Congress Research Team which is inthe Congress Public Health Division. The Research Team conductsresearch and evaluation in partnership with other organisations toimprove understanding of the health and well-being of Aboriginalpeople in central Australia and to support Congress servicedelivery. The Research team consists of the Research Manager,Senior Researchers, Research Coordinators, Project Coordinators,Research Assistants, Evaluation Officers and this position. Allpositions in the Team depend on project funding so the size andnature of the team varies. About the roleSupport the establishment ofa digital data base of written and audio-visual materials that aresignificant to the 50-year history of Congress. Ensure digital andother items in the Congress Historical Collection are cataloguedand managed according to archival best practice. The role makes asubstantial contribution to enabling the Congress community toaccess historical material that is relevant to their needs andinterests.
