About us With Architecture Studio is a contemporary design practice with over 35 years' experience in architecture, urban design, master planning, and interior architecture. The practice has a firmly established state and national reputation. Our medium sized studio is conveniently located in Northbridge, and our staff contribute to a friendly and socially engaged workplace.
We exchange ideas and encourage open discussion through our weekly design pin ups. Our bi-monthly Studio Session series are focused around design and culture. We support you in achieving your full potential through regular 1-1's, goal setting, feedback, and annual alignment reviews. Position 1: Architectural Technician We are seeking a skilled technician with local construction knowledge, and expertise with Revit. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for resolving the technical aspects of architectural design and documentation, as well as the ability to assist our design team with visualisations and schematic drawings during the earlier project phases.
The successful candidate will have:
Diploma of Building Design (Drafting) or similar and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Good technical skills across industry specific design and documentation software, including REVIT, Sketchup, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe creative suite. Experience across a range of building typology and scales. The ability to create visualisations and conceptual drawings that communicate the project design approach, being mindful of our studio brand and graphic style. Experience in preparing drawings suitable for inclusion in application for Development Approval. Experience in producing clear and accurate detailing and documentation drawings. Experience and ability to assist the Project Architect during the contract administration phase. A genuine appreciation for quality architecture delivered through excellent documents. A strong commitment to positively contribute to the studio's standards and processes. Position 2: Graduate Architect With Architecture Studio is seeking a talented and capable graduate of architecture, with local experience, to join our passionate and dedicated team.
The successful candidate will have:
Masters of Architecture and a minimum of 2 years of relevant, post-graduate experience. Proficient in REVIT; working knowledge of Enscape and Adobe creative suite is desirable. The ability to produce concept drawings and models under direction from the Project Architect. Experience in being part of an architectural team, with a clear understanding of design and documentation processes. Experience in space planning and room layouts, and preparation of construction documentation under direction from the Project Architect. The ability to assist with managing the input of sub-consultants and their specialist designs to create a holistic, well-coordinated and resolved design outcome. A genuine appreciation for quality architecture, and the passion and rigor required to maintain design intent and produce clear drawings and communications.
