The organisation has a couple of key niches that they can claim market dominance in as the go-to supplier in Australia. This allows them to use this expertise as a "trojan horse" to get an initial specification and then broaden the product range sold into each project.
What is in it for you?Working with a close-knit team across the country, you'll be developing sales in Perth and building a healthy pipeline of sales to convert. You report to the National Sales Manager, based on the East Coast, which means lots of autonomy to manage your time effectively. Your manager is not overly prescriptive and takes a macro-management approach. This is a business that trusts you to do your job.
You work in a business with sound systems, solid marketing, and a CRM. You are provided with all the tools you need to win and a friendly and supportive sales team to share results, advice, and technical support.
Your responsibilities...Develop a business plan for your territoryBuild a pipeline of sales and methodically follow up and convert those salesGenerate specifications and follow this process closely until a firm order is received via builders and contractorsPlanning and reporting for your territoryProvide samples and consult with architects and designersTroubleshoot, problem-solve, make recommendations, and negotiate with clientsUse CRM and project tracking to hold specifications and keep your quote-to-order ratio highManage the project pipeline to ensure a balance of short-term and long-term sales opportunities and convert a high percentage of these projects You are...Able to demonstrate an ability to obtain specifications via consultative selling and holding specs until a firm order is receivedCapable of discussing product and project aesthetics along with technical specifications and appropriate applicationsSkilled at networking across the building and design communityComfortable speaking to relevant decision-makersAble to follow up and confirm specifications and ordersProven track record of sales success and exceeding sales targetsOrganised with strong PC skillsInterior design qualifications are an advantage but not essentialStrong presentation skillsA team player Saunders Lynn & Company is dedicated to servicing the needs of the interiors and architectural products industry.
