Benefits Medical and Dental InsuranceHigh Competitive SalaryClark Office-basedAs a 'McNab Quantity Surveyor' (Architectural), your primary role will be to prepare accurate and well-defined take-offs of an extensive variety of architectural and/or construction products. A few examples are sanitary ware, metal architectural façade features, concrete reinforcement mesh, bollards, crash barriers, strip drains amongst other commodities as instructed.
You will work under the direction of our Australian based 'Procurement Coordinator' who will nominate what products are required on a project-to-project basis as well as when take-offs are required to be submitted. Submission dates are extremely important; they are not negotiable and will need to be met. Quantifying format of product types will be agreed upon between yourself and our Procurement Coordinator. On a day-to-day basis, you will report to our Quantity Surveyor (Glazing) for general assistance and support.
Your CapabilitiesAble to scrutinise, comprehend and interpret complete project documentation i.e. architectural drawings, specifications, finish and fixture schedules etc.Prepare precise and detailed quantity take-offs based on agreed project requirements.Present take-offs in a manner that third-party suppliers can quote accurately.Personal TraitsFirstly, and foremost, you must have the right attitude.Have an enthusiastic desire to learn and an appetite to gain knowledge.Ideally experienced in general take-offs, not specialised in a particular industry.Be punctual and exercise time management.Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure, at times, with minimal fuss.Work cohesively with other Team members.This is a full-time permanent position of 40 hours a week plus reasonable overtime as and when projects require. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 15:00pm to better align with Australian office hours.
