This position is with a dynamic residential design studio specializing in owner-builder projects across Queensland, Australia.
The firm combines architectural expertise with practical building insights, serving a niche market of hands-on homeowners.
With expansion plans to include energy ratings and bushfire assessments, the company is dedicated to promoting sustainable and safe building practices in Australia.

Job Description:
As aDraftsperson , you will play a key role in creating detailed construction drawings and managing various residential projects.
This position allows you to work through the entire design process, from initial concept sketches to final documentation, alongside owner-builders.
With a focus on precision and creative problem-solving, your work will support the studio's commitment to sustainable design and set the stage for future growth in energy efficiency and bushfire safety services.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage comprehensive construction drawings and documentation for diverse residential projects
Create 3D renders and other marketing materials for presentations and social media
Coordinate project management tasks, including client communications and collaboration with consultants
Refine internal processes using tools like Pipedrive CRM to streamline workflows
Contribute ideas to design concepts and architectural development
Assist with the studio's expansion into energy ratings and bushfire assessments
Collaborate on modular, prefabricated cabin design projects
Requirements:

Proficiency in Revit and other architectural software commonly used in the industry
Minimum 3 years of experience in residential building design or drafting within Australia
Advanced skills in 3D rendering and visualization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently
Comprehensive knowledge of Australian building codes and standards
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building Design, or related field preferred
Familiarity with energy-efficient design principles and bushfire safety regulations is a plus
High-performance computer equipped with a strong graphics card for rendering tasks
