Suitable for both experienced or up and coming arborists!Work a 9 day fortnightFull Time, Permanent OpportunityAbout the OpportunityIn this role you will assist in the delivery of programmed and reactive work that involves street tree pruning, removal and replacement planting, root pruning, root barrier installations.You will be a customer focussed, motivated, and energetic team member, that will work in a multi-disciplined environment, share in the team goals and be responsible for the delivery of high-quality outcomes that contribute towards the Program goals and objectives.Some of the day-to-day things you might see yourself doing are:Undertake tree planting, staking, mulching, watering and general maintenance of street and reserve trees.Undertaking maintenance of trees throughout City of Adelaide in accordance with the Australia Standards AS 4373: 2007 Amenity Tree Pruning and best arboriculture practices.Participating in the development and implementation of strategies to improve productivity and staff morale.Liaising with Corporation staff regarding relevant Arboriculture maintenance issues.This is a great opportunity to have a genuine and visible impact on our beautiful city!About YouTo be successful in this role you will have:Certificate III in Arboriculture or Certificate III in Horticulture or completing a trade qualification, in Arboriculture and/or Horticulture.Hold a minimum Class MR driver's licence.High Risk Work Licence - Elevated Work Platform (11 Metres).Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively liaise and engage with many different people.A good understanding of Arboriculture maintenance.Ability to operate large and minor plant associated with Arboricultural maintenance.Able to identify and investigate issues and propose solutions within the area of responsibility.About UsLocated in the geographic heart of Kaurna Country, the City of Adelaide celebrates its cultural heritage, unique natural surrounds and structures its footprint in a way that allows it to adapt to the changing needs of the community and a dynamic global landscape.
