Consulting Arborist A consulting arborist job is open as a full-time position, however part-time applicants can apply.
About the role Identify and report tree data across residential and commercial properties.
Prepare arboriculture impact assessments.
Project arborist services.
Root and branch mapping.
Undertake safety assessments of individual trees.
Undertake hollow analysis.
Competently identify and assess health and structural integrity of trees.
Training existing staff in arboriculture assessment.
Work with our fauna ecologists to undertake fauna recovery from trees.
Essential Criteria Diploma in arboriculture (AQF5 qualified) or AQF3 in the process of obtaining certificate/diploma.
Well-developed tree identification and tree health and structure assessment skills.
Familiarity with tree protection orders, environment and planning legislations and environmental overlays.
A high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
High level competencies with the MS Office suite.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, as you will liaise with team members from different disciplines, clients, and government agencies to ensure delivery of innovative solutions that meet client and broader community expectations.
Be flexible in geographic locations of work as some travel and some overnight stays may be required.
Highly organised to plan and manage projects.
Ability to accurately price quotes.
Desirable Criteria Certified climbing arborist, who can undertake hollow inspections for fauna recovery, as well as supervise or give instructions to contractors to undertake works.
