About the Role The Management Accountant will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, efficient, and accurate management accounting services. Providing these services in an accurate and timely manner through exceptional time management skills while meeting the expectations of the senior leadership team is crucial. The role will support the PPBC Business Partner in the provision of comprehensive monthly management reports and analysis and assist the Senior Leadership Team and the Corporate Finance Team in understanding the financial performance.
Key responsibilities include: Development and maintenance of management reporting dashboards with variance analysis and commentary. Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying discrepancies and providing recommendations for corrective actions. Preparation of financial models and cash forecasting. Assist the PPBC's Business Partner with the preparation of PPBC's budget process. Perform detailed cost analysis to identify areas for cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements. Conduct and monitor month-end financial reviews and report on financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Maintain the Chart of Accounts that ensures accounts and its structure meet the statutory reporting and internal management requirements. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately. Review and process journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Review weekly payroll and monitor headcount against budget variance. Review Daily reconciliation of bank accounts. Oversee the accurate and timely recording of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Tax Compliance Assist to ensure compliance with all relevant taxation legislation including BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax. Work closely with Corporate Finance Team to ensure PPBC and Aramex meet taxation and reporting requirements. To be successful in this role: A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or commerce with a CA/CPA or equivalent accreditation. Experience working within the private sector will be a distinct advantage. A strong understanding of management accounts and KPI reporting will be essential along with the ability to develop good relationships and work effectively within a team environment. Proven experience in coordinating a variety of tasks simultaneously to ensure service delivery. Demonstrated ability in preparing and managing budgets and forecasts. Computer literacy in Oracle and Microsoft suite of products with high-level competency in Excel. Ability to reason conceptually and solve complex business problems through input of suitable business solutions. Well-developed written and oral communication techniques and an ability to effectively manage internal and external customers.
