Due to growth, we are seeking the employment of a FIFO Mechanical Technician to join our expanding team. Duties and Responsibilities Working autonomously and within a tight-knit team, the Mechanical Technician is supported by administrative and trades persons to work within the Service team providing I&T and D&C duties for one of our key remote clients on a 7 days on/7 days off swing (12-hour days), maintaining Fire Pumps, Sprinkler/Deluge/Special Hazards systems, Hydrants, Hose reels, and Portables across their facilities.
Roster: 7:7 / 7 days on 7 days off (12-hour days)
Sites: BHP Mount Keith/Cliffs

Duties include: I&T routine compliance testing to AS1851 D&C / breakdown works Close liaison with our client on-site personnel Managing your own daily schedule Scoping of materials for D&C and Breakdown tasks Completing all on-site paperwork to access locations and perform tasks Reporting directly to our Perth-based Account Manager Working with ARA Fire Alarm Technician to assist, perform 2-man testing, etc. Completion of tasks within our Service Maintenance software CLARAFY Requirements: Current driver's licence inclusive of 4WD certification Completion of medical inclusive of drug & alcohol test Preference to those who have worked on mine sites previously Extinguishing Agent Handling Licence (EAHL) The successful applicant requires a high degree of organisational skills, prioritisation of tasks, customer focus, calmness, self-motivation, and the ability to interact with clients daily while owning a task through to its completion This role will suit someone who: Is well organised and can work with ambiguity and changes to daily activities Has a strong work ethic and works well with multiple units within mine site operations Is cooperative and carries tasks through to completion Copes with being busy at times and enjoys pressure Can be relied upon to work efficiently when unsupervised Has a minimum of 5 years' experience in trade What's in it for you: Training and coaching to ensure you are comfortable in your new role Employee Wellness program Company tools and phone Community and indigenous support programs Family Friendly Company Culture Promote from within Culture, internal career pathways available You will be supported and surrounded by a professional team who are customer-focused and strive for excellence Full-time employment with superannuation of industry standard along with paid personal and annual leave This is an outstanding opportunity to join a national fire protection company with a strong service background.
