About the role The Administration Officer - Office of the Chief Executive supports the role of the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer in the provision of effective and efficient administrative services.
This position is identified where, under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community. About YouTo be successful in this role you must have:
Experience providing administrative support in a medium to large organisationDemonstrated high ethical standards in performing duties, whilst maintaining confidentiality and discretionExceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesSound interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to establish and maintain strong working relationshipsUnderstanding of the historical and contemporary issues that impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their communities, particularly in Cape YorkDemonstrated understanding of the principles of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlAbility to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with community protocols and customsMust be willing and have the ability to travel in Cape York either by light aircraft or 4WD as requiredIt is desirable that the successful candidate holds a Certificate IV in Business AdministrationMandatory Requirements: Australian Federal Police CheckCurrent Queensland Drivers LicenceCurrent Blue Card positive notice or exemption, or willing and able to obtain prior to commencementWhat We Offer: Competitive salary range - $72,624 - $80,693 + 11.5% superannuation contributionModern facilities and resources5 weeks annual leave & 17.5% leave loadingGenerous salary packaging of up to $15,900 per yearInduction, professional development and learning opportunitiesEAP programOur Culture Apunipima, meaning "united - all in one" in Injinoo Ikya, was conceived at Pajinka near Injinoo at the tip of Cape York.
