Apunipima Cape York Health Council is a community controlled Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health service, which provides culturally appropriate, family centred, primary health care services to the communities and people of Cape York.
About the role The Compliance Officer position is to provide support to the Compliance, Quality and Risk team to ensure that Apunipima's organisational processes, policies and procedures comply with legal, regulatory, accreditation and contractual requirements.
About You To be successful in this role you will have:
Experience in a compliance/contracts administration management role. Experience developing, implementing and monitoring frameworks to support the achievement of contract deliverables. Experience coordinating activities to achieve and maintain organisational compliance in a medium or large organisation. Specialist knowledge of contract management/administration. Ability to interpret and apply legislation. Knowledge or the ability to gain understanding of accreditation standards as they apply to the community health sector. Ability to maintain reporting systems and provide support regarding reporting to funding agencies. Ability to work independently with limited supervision, and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and prioritise and meet deadlines. Understanding of the historical and contemporary issues that impact on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and their communities, particularly in Cape York. Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with community protocols and customs. Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community control. Must be willing and have the ability to travel in Cape York either by light aircraft or 4WD as required. Experience in quality role, including understanding compliance of RACGP, ISO and HSQF standards. Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures. Understanding of LOGICQC (or equivalent quality management systems). Mandatory requirements: Bachelor's degree in law or commerce, or Diploma of Contract Management, or other equivalent qualification or equivalent relevant experience. Australian Federal Police Check or willing and able to obtain one prior to commencement. Current Queensland Drivers Licence. Current Blue Card positive notice or exemption, or willing and able to obtain prior to commencement. What We Offer: Competitive salary range - $94,142 - 104,229 + 11.5% superannuation contribution.
