The ABS is seeking talented ongoing APS staff with various skills and experience who are interested in a temporary or permanent at nominal level transfer to work in one of our 10 offices.

The ABS is continually exploring new data sources, data collection methodologies and data analysis techniques to provide the highest quality data and statistics.

Our opportunity
Positions are office based and may be filled at the APS 2-6 levels ($56,776 - $104,135) or Executive 1 and 2 levels ($113,288 - $163,493).
Roles vary and are diverse across all areas in the ABS.
Such roles may include:
accounting and finance administration communications and marketing human resources information and communications technology information and knowledge management legal and parliamentary monitoring and audit project and program research strategic policy statistics The positions will depend on the demands of the work area and the ABS work programs.

Temporary employment may vary from a few weeks to up to 18 months and full-time or part-time depending on the requirements of the business area.
