The Role The Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator are seeking to fill multiple positions.
The Duties of an EL 1 Project Manager: Apply appropriate project and contract management methods and tools that are aligned with PMO best practices, processes, and documentation. Advocate, support, and implement required methods, procedures, and techniques to ensure successful project execution. Identify, assess, track, report, and manage project risks effectively. Support the resolution of significant project issues, ensuring risks are captured in the Branch Risk Register through regular engagement with the Risk Manager. Monitor project costs, timelines, quality, and resources used. Take corrective actions when these exceed agreed tolerances. Track, monitor, and report on project financials against budgets. Maintain and manage project schedules, ensuring milestones and project health are tracked. Update project requirements in relevant project management systems (e.g., IHMS or APOLLO) and provide monthly status reports. Deliver project documentation requirements that align with the ASCA PMO Delivery/Project Management Framework and artefacts. Facilitate, develop, review, and support project contracting and procurement requirements, in consultation with the ASCA Acquisition & Commercial team, as required. Collaborate with program managers and PMO leadership to ensure appropriate resourcing, support, and delivery. Engage with vendors, as required, to ensure the delivery of agreed outcomes using effective management techniques, collaboration, and governance. Provide consistent project, contract, and business management support to program teams. Responsible for the management of schedule, risk, budget, and resources, preparation of briefings, submissions, reports and returns relating to the project progress. Apply established technical, operational, professional and administrative activities, procedures, practices and project management methodologies. Identify risks and opportunities and take account of these in planning, decision-making and priority setting. Accountable for managing and leading a team, including providing clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility and guiding and developing people. The Duties of an EL 1 Project Controller: Accountable to ensure project control practices and procedures are developed and applied to projects and programs. Accountable to provide experienced and accurate project and program monitoring and controlling advice and solutions for risks and opportunities. Has expertise in developing project and program briefs, reports and documentation. Identify risks, uncertainties and opportunities during the planning process, develop, and implement agreed recommendations that contribute to project outcomes. Build and sustain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
