Our client, a large federal government organisation based in Canberra, is seeking Watch Officers to join their team. An opportunity to be part of a significant project that will have a substantial impact on the Australian community. As a Watch Officer, you will be a key member of the Command Centre team.
What you'll do: Assist with management of Day to Day duties of the Command Centre such as preparing briefs for Executive Leadership Team, Management of Inboxes, Monitoring of operational environment under guidance of permanent staff. Lead the creation of BAU and Event Reporting Placemats involving the collation and presentation of Data from varied sources. Assist with managing Network Operational Communication items. Assist with progressing Command Centre projects. Manage and monitor preparation and delivery activities under guidance of permanent staff. Assist (where required) with issuing of security passes and other protective security processes. Provide support to the operational Incident Management Teams. What you bring: Strong skills in using Microsoft suite of applications. Demonstrated ability to work in pressure situations in a fast moving and variable environment. Demonstrated ability to respond to change in a positive and flexible manner. Strong written and verbal communication, with the proven ability to communicate in a clear, concise and articulate manner and work collaboratively. Proven ability to act with discretion and integrity in managing sensitive and confidential information.
