Salary: $91,702 - $104,753 + up to 15.4% Superannuation

The Role
Airlift and Tankers Systems (ATS) branch has important responsibilities to lead, enable and deliver essential Air capabilities for Defence and Australia.
As a Tasking and Coordination Officer (TCO), you will ensure resources are allocated efficiently, tasks are prioritised effectively, and internal and external stakeholders are kept informed.
As a Branch TCO, your role broadly entails:
Tasking & Prioritisation: Evaluate incoming task requests, assess resource requirements, and recommend task prioritisation to ensure operational efficiency and task achievement.
Select the most appropriate course of action to progress work to meet business objectives, provide advice and guidance on more complex issues.Coordination: Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of resources, information, and timelines.
Work collaboratively, build and sustain effective relationships and provide constructive feedback.Reporting & Documentation: Track progress and deliver regular updates to senior leadership to enable decision-making, maintaining clear records of tasks and outcomes.Problem-Solving: Address challenges in task planning and execution, proposing solutions and adjusting resources as necessary to maintain operational effectiveness.
Identify and interpret relevant legislation, policies, strategies, business and team requirements and apply these to the work area.Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements and share insights to enhance tasking operations.Representation: Represent the EL 1 Deputy Director Strategic Operations in forums and meetings, including acting in the role as required. ATS Branch is responsible for the sustainment and related acquisition of key capabilities for Air Force.
The Branch partners with Defence Industry and allied forces to acquire, sustain and deliver capability for Air Mobility Group within Air Force.
You will be an integral part of the Executive Support Directorate, contributing to the effective operation of ATS Branch and its multiple Program Offices in order to achieve important Defence outcomes.
To assist you with the demands of this role, you will lead and manage an APS 5 Administration & Tasking Support Officer and also gain support from, and collaborate with, the broader ATS executive team who are a combination of skilled and motivated Australian Public Service and Australian Defence Force personnel.
Our Ideal Candidate Highly Desirable Criteria: A considerable level of experience with stakeholder engagement and demonstrated ability to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations in order to achieve Branch and wider Defence business outcomes.Experience in preparing clear, concise, and professional documentation or tasking statements for a variety of audiences.Proficiency in using project management software, databases or task management tools.Demonstrated capacity to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines and unexpected challenges in a fast-paced environment.Experience in identifying risks associated with tasking and coordination and developing mitigation strategies. Desirable Criteria: Experience in, or possess a sound understanding of the role of Defence.Familiarity with government IT systems or Defence-specific tools for task tracking and reporting is advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
