Job Description
The Digital Product Design (DPD) Branch is responsible for shaping the future digital experience of the Services Australia ecosystem, including myGov. This is achieved through consistent and seamless design practices aimed at reaching the digital experience target state.

We are seeking dedicated and experienced professionals in service design, user research, and interaction design to lead and inspire our teams at Services Australia. These roles are crucial in ensuring our services are user-centred, effective, and accessible.

Service Designers research, develop, prototype and test service designs to ensure that services are designed in a way that creates optimal user and staff experience, and delivers business outcomes. Service Designers ensure the end-to-end experience is designed to meet the needs of users, reduce or solve pain points and create a consistent experience across all channels and touchpoints. They are strong advocates for improving government services, exploring opportunities from policy through to delivery, keeping the customer front and centre.

Senior Interaction Designers develop design concepts for digital products and services. They design, test and evaluate these solutions to ensure stakeholder and agency requirements have been met. They are able to interpret evidence-based research and incorporate this into their work ensuring the quality of design.

Senior User Research Officers play a central role in championing customers' needs. They work collaboratively across the agency, to provide an understanding of the needs and experiences of customers, staff and third parties, to improve the customer experience and enable effective and efficient outcomes for government.

These roles work under limited direction of senior staff. They exercise initiative and make decisions based on judgement, skills and knowledge and may manage a team.
Work Environment Some roles may involve regular travel.Roles may involve managing teams that work in a face-to-face or virtual environment.Some roles involve direct customer contact. #J-18808-Ljbffr
