APS6 Senior Research and Evaluation OfficerComcare has a Non-ongoing vacancy for 12 months with the opportunity of becoming ongoing, for an APS6 Senior Research and Evaluation Officer in the Mental Health and Research Team.
Location is in either Canberra or Melbourne with Full-time or Part-time available.
Overview of Team and Role The Mental Health and Research team is responsible for the delivery of evidence-based innovative programs and initiatives that influence how Comcare meets its strategic intent to promote and enable safe and healthy work, including mentally healthy workplaces.
The team, comprising both Mental Health and Research functions, engages collaboratively across the business and with external stakeholders to conduct and translate research to deliver positive impact for the Scheme.
The APS 6 Senior Research and Evaluation Officer is responsible for supporting the uplift in evaluation capability of Comcare.
The role involves providing support to the management, design and delivery for a portfolio of research and evaluation initiatives, to meet stakeholder needs using an appropriate range of research and evaluation methodologies.
The Officer will develop a draft evaluation framework and supporting tools to uplift evaluation capability across the team and organisation, design a process and methodology to collect regular client feedback and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure research and evaluation activities align with organisational objectives.
Primary Responsibilities Develop a draft enterprise-wide evaluation framework and supporting tools, to uplift evaluation capability across the team and organisation.Design a draft process and methodology to collect regular client feedback.Provide support to the management, design and delivery for a portfolio of research and evaluation initiatives, to meet stakeholder needs using an appropriate range of research and evaluation methodologies.Implement research quality control systems / procedures.Analyse and interpret data to inform decision-making and policy development.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure research and evaluation activities align with organisational objectives.Provide advice and support on the evaluation of a range of projects and initiatives across the organisation.Prepare and present reports and findings to management and stakeholders.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of research and evaluation initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.Desirable Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as health, social sciences, statistics, or public policy.Experience in designing and delivering research and evaluation initiatives in a government or public sector context.Eligibility and Specific Conditions of Employment Character clearance (police records check).Health clearance.Six months probationary period for new engagements.Some intra and interstate travel is required including overnight absences.How to apply The job information pack including how to apply can be obtained from our website here.
