Work with us The Targeted Infrastructure Programs Branch is responsible for administering and implementing over $20 billion of national infrastructure sub-programs, delivered under the National Partnership Agreement on Land Transport Infrastructure Projects or through individual funding agreements.

We work in partnership with state, territory and local governments to form strong connections across the country and achieve the seamless delivery of a vast program of work.
Our programs include Road Safety Program, Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure Program, Black Spot Program, Local Roads & Community Infrastructure Program, National Land Transport Network Maintenance Program, Regional Australia Level Crossing Upgrade Program, Roads to Recovery Program, and the Remote Roads Upgrade Pilot Program.

The opportunity we have available We have several opportunities at the APS6 level to join the Targeted Infrastructure Programs Branch.
As a Senior Program Officer, you will be responsible for contributing to the management and delivery of our programs.
Depending on the role, you will undertake complex work with limited direction and sometimes tight deadlines.
You may be required to make decisions within your area of responsibility, contribute to broader team deliverables, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders on various tasks.
At the APS6 classification, you may be responsible for staff supervision.
Your tasks may include: Contributing to program management activities including application assessments, monitoring existing projects, payment and reporting processes.
Reporting on the performance of programs and individual projects.
Using a range of IT systems to monitor projects and process payments.
Proactively engaging with our business partners, including state, territory and local government contacts to ensure compliance with program rules and effective delivery of projects.
Assisting with the development of program guidelines, communication materials and program advice.
Developing implementation and risk plans and mitigation strategies.
Preparing responses to correspondence, briefs and media queries.
Maintaining program and project records.
Drafting routine service agreements with our business partners.
Supporting the senior executive and minister's offices to deliver outcomes through the preparation of briefs and advice.
