Our Federal Government client is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic APS 6 Senior Grants & Procurement Advisor to join their central Procurement and Contracts Unit. If you have a knack for strategic and operational advice, and a drive to support best practices, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic and operational advice on grants, procurements, and contract management. Support team strategies and forward planning. Assist with training and communications across the agency. Manage grant processes and contribute to internal and external reporting requirements. Encourage best practices in procurements and grants, ensuring value for money and compliance with policies and regulations. Actively participate in achieving team outcomes and delivering quality results. Participate in planning for the Procurement and Contracts Unit, including staff development and mentoring. Offer specialist authoritative advice on grants and procurements, ensuring compliance with legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks. Keep contract, procurement, and grant guidelines and procedures up to date. Maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Maintain an extensive understanding of GrantConnect, panels, AusTender, and TechOne OneGov. Engage in knowledge transfer and capability uplift of grants and procurement. Support continuous improvement initiatives. Manage multiple small projects, ensuring timely delivery. Essential Requirements: Experience in grants within a Commonwealth Government environment. Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience. Strong knowledge of Commonwealth grant guidelines, processes, and best practices. Sound understanding of Commonwealth procurement principles, processes, and best practices. Sound understanding of contract management principles and vendor performance evaluation. On offer is a 12 month non-ongoing contract with potential for a 6 month extension. Salary range is $98,575 - $108,492 + 15.4% super with an increase scheduled in March 2025.
