Key Responsibilities: Governance Services Support: Assist in providing essential governance services, ensuring compliance with legislative obligations under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013. Secretariat Management: Manage the secretariat function for key corporate committees, subcommittees, and working groups, including quality review of papers, action register management, and drafting meeting minutes. Strategic Analysis and Reporting: Prepare strategic reports and briefing papers on complex issues for presentation to governance committees, contributing to informed decision-making processes. Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and nurture key internal and external relationships, effectively managing stakeholders to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Team Leadership: May involve supervisory responsibilities, including mentoring team members and fostering their professional development. Additional Responsibilities during Electoral Events: Provide support to program and project areas as required, ensuring operational readiness during crucial electoral periods. Essential Requirements: Security Clearance: Level 1 - Negative Vetting (NV1) and character clearance, including a police check. Qualifications and Experience: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in corporate governance, prioritization, effective communication, and analytical abilities. Relevant tertiary qualifications in corporate governance or public administration are desirable. Desirable Skills: Familiarity with Australian electoral law and practice or a willingness to quickly acquire this knowledge.
