Our client is seeking to engage an APS6 Senior Governance Officer.
Location: Canberra, ACT
Employment: Permanent, S26 transfer
Salary Range: $99,536 to $111,816 + Super per annum
Eligibility/Security Requirement: Preference will be for candidates with NV1 or Baseline. About the role and duties:Provide secretariat support for the Agency's Audit and Risk Committee including drafting and coordinating of committee papers, briefs, and correspondence.Assist with the delivery and/or oversight of Agency's corporate governance functions including internal audit, risk management, fraud control, legislative compliance, policy, and business continuity.Monitor and report on governance compliance across all agency operations in accordance with Agency's policy.Identify and interpret relevant legislation, work practices, regulatory frameworks, policies, and procedures, to complete governance activities.Coordinate the completion of the agency's performance reporting requirements.Work collaboratively in a team-based environment actively participating in, contributing to team meetings, and exchanging information to support the work area and team objectives.Other duties as directed.
This is a "support" role (APS6) to AD Finance and Governance (EL1) and will best suit a competent APS5 seeking promotion, competent APS6 seeking transfer at level or external to APS candidate seeking career in Commonwealth Government.
The role would allow a suitable candidate to potentially grow to EL1 level.
