*Closing Date: 9 AM Thursday 16 May 2024 face2face reference: 610498 Location: Robina Qld, Brisbane Qld, Surry Hills NSW, Parramatta NSW, Richmond Vic, Geelong Vic Hours: Full-TimeContract length: 12 Month ContractEntry requirements: Australian CitizenshipPay rate: $55.24 p/h ex superAbout the Role: Our Australian Government client requires a professional with a background in event coordination, capable of planning, executing, and evaluating a diverse range of events to ensure their success.=As the Senior Event Officer, you will be at the forefront of event planning and organisation, playing a crucial role in shaping our client's presence in industry summits, conferences, workshops, seminars, and forums.With a focus on delivering exceptional experiences, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align event objectives with the client's goals, ensuring that each event serves as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and engagement.Duties: Work with the Events leadership team to identify key opportunities for appropriate attendance at events to inform a proactive events strategy.Assist in the preparation and logistics of a range of events for the client, including sessions, forums, conferences, and webinars, providing local logistical event management as required.Provide support to manage the events inbox and provide event digital support and manage the online component for virtual and hybrid meetings.Monitor progress and coordinate activities within a project plan with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution.Monitor event budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial resources are allocated appropriately.Enhance brand consistency and engagement by utilising best practice guidelines for printed/online event materials including logo usages, brochures, adverts, and biographies.Assist, where required, external event hosts to arrange event logistics and provide all the information required for representatives at the event.Research and summarise the background of each event and provide information outlining benefits to the client in attending, along with identifying any risks.Create event briefing packs, run pre-briefing, and post event meetings.Provide bump-in and bump-out support where available for venue briefings, including transport advice, Occupational Health & Safety assessments and insurance certificates.Provide content for briefing and event-related documents, undertaking research as required.Key skills and experience required for the Role include: Relevant experience in event coordination, preferably in a large organisation setting.Strong digital experience in managing virtual as well as hybrid events.Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple events simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders including internal teams, external partners, and suppliers.Budget management experience.Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.Attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain networks.Able to negotiate effectively by listening to differing ideas and views to develop a clear understanding of the issues, and to present persuasive counterarguments.Desirable skills and experience to have for the Role include: Experience working with EventsAir.Experience working with MS Teams in a digital event environment.Risk assessment and management experience.Benefits: A healthy, safe, and diverse work environment.Continuous employee support.Opportunities for career development.
