The Client Benefits Division delivers products and services to give effect to defined DVA policy outcomes. The Division is responsible for claims management including registration, needs assessment, determinations, reconsiderations and reviews, as well as operational support activities such as quality assurance and compliance, performance reporting, and business coordination and improvement, business systems and administration.
 
The Governance and Coordination Subsection is based in Canberra and its role is to support the Divisional Executive, coordinate various internal and external requests and provide a comprehensive Divisional response, and draft responses to Ministerial and Secretary's correspondence.
The successful applicant will undertake work under limited direction and with reasonable autonomy. They will be responsible for the delivery of timely responses to Ministerial and other correspondence received by the Department of Veterans' Affairs. They will work as part of a team to ensure effective information workflow in a high volume, sensitive environment.

This recruitment process is being used to fill ongoing and/or non-ongoing position/s. For more information about the role, please see the Candidate Information Pack.
Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to18 months. 
A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.
Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period.
