Must have Government experience Initial 12 month engagement + extension Craft and deliver First Nations health communications The Department: You'll be joining an extra large Department, boasting several communications branches and delivering programs, payments and services for the wellbeing of all Australians. The Role: This is a unique account management position which is responsible for two major pieces of work in the aged care space. You will take the lead on First Nations communications in a 'traditional' strategic communications position. This is a busy role with many moving parts. You will be required to manage multiple requests from various areas at any on time. You will write content for several platforms and audiences including social media content, newsletters, video scripts, speeches, brochures etc. This is a 12 month non-ongoing position with some scope for extension. An S26 transfer may be considered for current permanent APS employees. This position may be offered in either Canberra or Brisbane. Other locations will not be considered. Role Responsibilities: Develop and deliver communication strategies and solutions. Develop and deliver strategically aligned content and evaluate effectiveness of content, strategy and channels. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your Skills and Experience: To be considered for this position you must have Government (local, state or Federal) experience in a communications position, at the APS5 or APS6 level (or state government) equivalent. An understanding of Government media, as well as any experience or knowledge of First Nations communications is highly desirable.
