We are seeking curious, motivated, adaptable professionals with a passion for learning and building their skills to join the Performance Statements Audit Services Group, to take the next step in their career and contribute to the ongoing development of the new performance statements audit function.

You will be part of an energetic and diverse team that will provide the Parliament and the public with assurance on the performance of government entities and the quality of performance information reported in entities' annual performance statements.

Lead interesting, complex pieces of work – you will be responsible for managing audit projects, analysing and reporting complex audit issues, and leading and developing team members.
You will also be responsible for providing a high-quality auditing experience to our clients and developing professional relationships with clients, client Audit Committees, and other senior stakeholders.
Under broad guidance, positions at this level will:

Contribute to the delivery of complex performance statements audit tasks and audit products;
Supervise, mentor, and support the professional development of more junior staff;
Exercise sound judgment to assess the value of audit evidence and form audit opinions and recommendations;
Provide high-level professional and technical advice;
Manage client relationships;
Make a positive contribution to the development of the Performance Statements Audit Services Group.

An important part of the role will include training and development, as it applies to conducting performance statements audits.
Applicants with proven skills in this area will be considered for dual roles within the Group.
There are no mandatory qualifications for this role; however, tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or experience in evaluation are highly desirable.
Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ANAO, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
Security Clearance – The Australian community requires the highest level of integrity from ANAO employees.
The preferred applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance.
