The Opportunity This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Rehabilitation and/or Safety professional to join our client on a 12-month non-ongoing contract. In this role, you will be part of a growing team, providing in-depth advice and guidance on a range of rehabilitation and safety matters. Reporting directly to the Manager, Work Health and Safety, you will have the benefit of mentorship and professional development, allowing you to refine your expertise in a supportive environment. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of 4-12 cases at any given time, with expectations for the caseload to increase as the team expands. This position offers the chance to make a real impact by promoting health, safety, and wellbeing, while playing a key role in supporting the organisation's broader initiatives.
The Role The ideal person for this role will have:
Provide in-depth advice and guidance on the practical interpretation and application of relevant legislation, Codes of Practice, industry standards, and internal guidelines across diverse working environments. Lead the management of rehabilitation and workers compensation matters to support employees in achieving sustainable return to work outcomes. Plan, develop, and deliver rehabilitation and safety documentation, including policies and procedures, in alignment with organisational needs. Design and lead process and system enhancements on issues such as psychosocial hazards and psychological wellbeing. Prepare expert advice, briefing materials, and data reports for relevant Committees and executives. The Ideal Person The ideal candidate will be a results-driven professional with strong expertise in wellbeing, rehabilitation, and safety across diverse workplaces. They will possess excellent research, consultation, and analytical skills, enabling them to drive business improvements and ensure compliance with rehabilitation programs and WHS management systems. The candidate will also be proficient in producing complex written materials, including briefs and governance documentation. Able to work autonomously, they will thrive in managing change and uncertainty while demonstrating leadership that enhances team capability and promotes organisational goals.
Salary / Rate $90k – $100k + 15.4% Super
