Location: Canberra Position Type: Ongoing | Full-time Salary: $90,199 - $101,745 About the role The role of the Psychologist (Clinical Registrar) is to provide psychological services in support of the business and operational objectives of the ACIC, under the direction of the Senior Psychologist.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified psychologist to contribute to Australian's national interests.
Key responsibilities: Perform moderate to complex psychological suitability assessments including verbal and written analysis that synthesises information derived from a range of sources.
This will be under supervision with increasing autonomy as the candidate progresses through the Clinical Registrar program Provide psychological advice and support to business areas within the organisation Be accountable for accurate completion of work within time frames and quality requirements.
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Have the capacity to build and sustain relationships with key internal stakeholders to progress psychological risk mitigation controls.

Provide evidence based psychological advice in support of organisational functions.

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Have strong ethical boundaries.
Be accountable for working effectively with the Senior Psychologists.
Essential qualifications  General registration as a psychologist (unconditional) with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) Post graduate studies or completing studies in Clinical Psychology Eligibility to undertake the Clinical Psychology Registrar program Eligibility for membership with the Australian Psychological Society  Eligibility Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity.
Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
Pre-Employment Screening – All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC.
