Overview of the Team The People, Property and Security team is responsible for supporting the strategic direction of Comcare and enabling the organisation to respond effectively to current and future business needs, through strategic and effective frameworks, advice and processes. The team has the following sections: Work Health and Safety, HR Operations and Employee Relations, Recruitment, Workforce Strategy, Change Management, HR Systems, Property and Security.
Property Manager (Canberra only) The Property Manager manages the daily operations of property and office services functions throughout Comcare's national property portfolio, along with an ongoing focus on the timely delivery of a range of property related projects. The Property Manager will exercise sound judgement to make decisions governed by the application of legislation, best practice principles policies and procedures.
The Property Manager will lead and manage employees including developing, coaching, mentoring and building commitment to shared goals. They will implement improvements to policies, processes and systems, and manage competing workloads and deadlines. The Property Manager will have highly developed communication skills and strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, and be responsible for preparing guidelines, correspondence and briefs.
Property Manager - Mandatory experience and specific conditions Demonstrated property management experience in commercial offices Rostered after hours on call arrangements Some interstate travel is required, including overnight absences Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance. Property Manager - Desirable experience Understanding of the Commonwealth Property Management Framework. Security Manager The Security Manager manages Comcare's Security Framework to ensure compliance with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) as well as ensuring Comcare's preparedness for Business Continuity Management (BCM) and emergency management incidents. The Security Manager also assists with the management of the daily operations of security services throughout Comcare's national property portfolio, along with an ongoing focus on the timely delivery of a range of security related services and projects. The role will conduct and facilitate BCM and emergency management planning and activities and provide specialist security advice to stakeholders.

The Security Manager will identify and implement improvements to policies, processes and systems, support programs of work with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. The Security Manager will have highly developed communication skills and strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, and be responsible for preparing guidelines, correspondence and briefs.
