Force Design Division is seeking skilled, enthusiastic, purpose-driven leaders to contribute to the Department of Defence's key policy and national security functions to protect and further Australia's national interests.
The primary role of the Project Support Officer is to support the Portfolio Performance Measurement Directorate with the enhancement and sustainment of the CapabilityOne (C1) System. C1 is an Information Communication Technology (ICT) system that manages information related to the One Defence Capability System and the Defence Integrated Investment Program.
You will manage and lead work priorities and strategies to meet business outcomes through engagement with stakeholders across Defence, and support an environment that promotes creativity and innovation. You will provide operational support to project management and facilitate administrative and coordination requirements, lead the development and maintenance of project planning and processes, in accordance with agreed procedures and performance standards, apply project management methodologies to administrative and technical activities, research, draft and prepare briefs, complex correspondence and reports including submissions for committee consideration and undertake procurement activities.

IPMB supports the highest-level decision makers in Defence and Government to deliver the outcomes required by the ADF. We directly provide decision support to the Vice Chief of the Defence Force in his role as Chair of the Investment Committee by providing independent analysis and advice on the Defence investment portfolio. IPMB is a small, yet influential team trusted to advise Defence on investment matters.
