$91,702 - $104,753 + up to 15.4% Superannuation Brindabella Park - ACT The RoleAs the Project Support Officer within the Directorate of People Intelligence and Research (DPIR), you will be responsible for delivering cohesive and accountable portfolio management across the research and business projects of DPIR. You will lead the development and maintenance of processes and tools for project and administrative task coordination for application across teams, ensuring that the outcome allows our leadership to maintain oversight of cross-project schedules, risks, stakeholders, procurement and other governance needs. In close liaison with teams, you will provide guidance and mentorship on project management methodologies to support research projects within an integrated research program. About our TeamThe Directorate of People Intelligence and Research is a dedicated multidisciplinary research team, responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive workforce research portfolio. Our team facilitates all aspects of enterprise people and workplace research from foundation to knowledge translation. This includes governing aspects of research ethics and integrity, developing and delivering a program of surveys and censuses, and engaging in various scientific approaches to investigate organisational/people challenges. The expertise derived from our program are widely applied by decision-makers and leaders, to monitor and analyse workforce strategies and develop successful interventions. It is integral for representing Defence's formal accountabilities to Government and the public, and participating in international intelligence exchange. Our current program of research explores workplace experiences and behaviour; culture and organisational development; workforce demography; workforce demand, design and incentives; and social policy related to the intersections of work and Defence families, well-being and gender. Our Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will bring a keen drive and sense of initiative, with strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills. They would have skills and experience in a similar current or previous role (essential), and ideally have skills and experience in one or more of the following:
Supporting engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, with the possibility of facilitating events and working groups to guide our tasks. Developing and reviewing documentation and communication materials, such as project documents, stakeholder correspondence, research agreements, and terms-of-reference. Considering and accounting for the research environment contextual factors such as legislation, strategy, and policy. Employing problem-solving to contribute to the definition of an organisation's research needs, gaps, and future. Contributing knowledge of research or data science methodologies, to support the development of integrated governance structures and methods.
