APS 6 - Project Support Officer - Events $91,702 - $104,753 + up to 15.4% Superannuation Russell - ACT The Role
The Strategic Engagements Cell, Chief of Staff Branch, Land Capability Division (LCD) is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Support Officer with a demonstrated understanding of and/or experience in event management.
The Project Support Officer – Events, will work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work. They will exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures. They will provide detailed administration, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic event management. 
The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative and innovative team, interacting with a variety of stakeholders and business areas within Defence. In a fast-paced environment, this role requires initiative and attention to detail, with the ability to review and adjust priorities and work activities to meet business outcomes. 
About our Team
The Strategic Engagements Cell coordinates and manages high profile events on behalf of the office of the Chief of Army and LCD. Events vary in format and size, and are held across major cities around Australia. Target audiences include internal Defence members, industry and/or international military counterparts. The cell ensures engagements are high quality, purposeful and consistent across Army Headquarters. 
In addition, the cell provides advice and guidance to LCD for the delivery of smaller program-level events, including the provision of official hospitality, gifts and sponsorship. 
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

Experience in planning and managing small and large events, including procurement to engage venues, creative, and events suppliers; Have strong project and budget management skills including the ability to meet deadlines with competing priorities and delivering work to a high standard; Experience in developing websites, apps and registration portals using the EventsAIR platform is highly desirable; High-level communication skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members, executives and key stakeholders to achieve project/program and agency goals; and Experience in supporting project management activities and seeing tasks through to completion, with a commitment to achieving quality outcomes.  Start your application by clicking the "begin" button. #J-18808-Ljbffr
